1080p Full HD televisions
Full HD TV is one which produce 1080p resolution. i.e., 1080 progressive scan horizontal lines and 1920 vertical lines. So they are called 1920 x 1080p. They produce excellent picture clarity with increased color details when you are watching original 1080p video footage.
If the screen size is less than 42” or the viewing distance is more than 6 ft then you cannot distinguish the difference between whether it is a 720p or 1080p. To enjoy the full benefits of Full HD, you should sit closer to the TV, the screen size should be larger than 42” and the video footage is real 1080p. Otherwise there is no difference between 720p and 1080p. The difference remains only in words.
In full HD TVs, the video footage is not scaled down or scaled up. They match the image pixel to pixel natively. So there is no quality loss which can occur, in down scaling or up scaling, where as in 720p usually HD signals are down scaled. So there may be slight loss in quality. But that will not be perceivable.
