HD Ready 720 p Televisions
HD Ready TVs are LCD or Plasma TV that can display 720 lines of progressive scan picture. They either upscale or downscale the image to the panels native resolution when the input signal is standard definition or high definition respectively.
For smaller displays less than 32” 720p or HD ready is just sufficient. Since below 32”, the panel doesn’t have required screen area to produce 1080p picture. There are many TVs in 32” which are 1080p. But if you view the same video source , say 1080p video on a 720p and 1080p (both 32”), you cannot see any picture difference or increase in clarity in 1080p over 720p.
