What is Picture In Picture functionality in large dcreen televisions?
Picture In Picture is a special feature available in high end televisions. One program or channel is displayed with audio in the full screen and another channel or another video source like DVD player or PC monitor signal is displayed in a small insert window. To watch two channels using picture in picture (PIP) the TV need to have two tuners.
For watching one tv channel and another video channel like DVD or PC output, single tuner is enough. This is a normal standard in mid range LCD and Plasma TVs. PIP is a handy feature to swap channels when one channel is displaying commercial. We can switch the commercial to small window and the other channel or video to full display.
